Norma Jean Minnick of Eugene died August 29, 2008 of heart failure. She was 57. A private service was held in Richland.

She was born August 11, 1951 in Richland to Charles and Ona Chambers Minnick.

Although she was a part of Richland's Columbia High School Class of 1969, she actually graduated with the Class of 1970. Minnick held an associate’s degree in English literature from Lane Community College. She worked for Children's Services Division for six years in services for abused children.

Survivors include her mother; a son, Corey of Eugene; two grandchildren; and a brother, Chuck Minnick ('64).

She was preceded in death by her father.

Arrangements were handled by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
