Joseph Frank "Joe" Daugherty, age 38, of California, died August 25, 1989, at the Kenneth E. Norris Cancer & Research Hospital in Los Angeles, CA.

Joe was born February 12, 1951, in Richland and grew up in the area. He graduated from Richland's Columbia High School with the Class of 1969.

He graduated from Eastern Washington State College in Cheney and taught school for eight years in the Portland area. He attained his degree in Corporate Tax from the Golden Gate University in Los Angeles, CA and was a tax accountant in computer sciences in the Los Angeles area.

Joe is survived by his parents, Esther and Frank Daugherty of Richland; brother, Jim Daugherty ('70) of San Diego, CA; sisters: Jill Harbey ('75) of Bremerton, WA and Judi Daugherty of Richland; and maternal grandmother, Charity Russell of Grandview, WA.

Funeral services were held at 11 am on Saturday, September 16, 1989, at Sunset Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Richland.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Christian Church at N. 16th and W. Marie in Pasco, WA 99301.
