BOMBER MEMORIAL
NANCIE "NANCY" BETH DUTTON HARVEY ~ Class of 1969
March 29, 1951 - July 29, 2016
Nancy Dutton was born on March 29, 1951 in Missoula, MT to Donald Zedoc Dutton and Elma Jean Yaple. Nancy had been fighting an infection where the anti-biotics appeared to be effective and after being discharged from the hospital she unexpectedly passed away five days later at her home in Oswego, NY on July 29, 2016.
Even though the spelling of her first name was "Nancie" she preferred the spelling of "Nancy".
She graduated with the Class of 1969 from Richland's Columbia High School. She then studied at Columbia Basin College in Pasco.
Her work career and travels revolved around being a Quality Assurance Engineer and working in the nuclear industry for 38 years. Nancy loved living and visiting family and relatives in the beautiful town/area of Libby, MT where her late mom and dad had a beautiful place overlooking Bull Lake.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Doug Harvey; her two sons, Jason Mathews and Scott Tobin (Robyn) who meant the world to her; and four wonderful grandchildren: Lily, Olivya, Logan and Ryan; her brother, Neal Dutton ('71) (Beth); and half-brothers, Mike and Steve Dutton.
Nancy and Doug had moved to New York to be as close as possible to enjoy family especially their grandchildren. They also enjoyed horseback riding, fishing and were looking forward to traveling as soon as Doug retired but sadly God had other plans.
Nancy loved attending her high school class reunions and keeping in touch with life-long friends. A few sentences from Nancy's input to the 45-year reunion memory book just begins to touch on why she was so special:
"My life is wonderful, my husband is a miracle and my family has blessed my life. I thank God every day for my blessings. I hope that we all find peace and wellness that we can share for the next reunion".
Nancy loved everyone and will be deeply missed.
