Lela Mae Findlay, 74, of Richland, died July 6, 2024, in Richland.

Lela Mae Elliott was born on June 20, 1950, in Richland to Evelyn Juanita Husong Elliott and Emmitt G. Elliott.

She graduated from Richland's Columbia High School with the Class of 1969.

Lela was a life-long Tri-Cities resident. She was a retired janitor for a university. Einan's at Sunset in Richland is in charge of arrangements.

Her mother passed away at the age of 67 on May 29, 1978.

Her father passed away at the age of 68 on September 9, 1984.

Her brother, Emmett Wade Elliott, was born December 7, 1944. He passed away at the age of 47 on October 13, 1992.

Her death notice was published in the Tri-City Herald on July 10, 2024.

"I have been married to Dennis since 1971.

Our kids are Allen (44), Crystal (38), Ian (36) and Heather (27).

Grandchildren:
Allen has four children; Ashlee (21), stepchild Avery (20), Aleena (13) and Gavin (11).
Crystal has six children: Melodie (20), Emmilee (18), Alexzander (11), Blayne (8), Kaesyne (5) and Trystan (2).
Ian is single ... no kids ... Yea!!
Heather has Ajay (10).

I worked at the Tri-City Herald newspaper for 16 years and at WSU Tri-Cities from 1997 to 2010. I had to go out on long term disability and then early retirement because of my feet".
