December 7, 1949 - July 12, 2018

Floy Greenough

Floy Katherine Greenough Harper, age 68, loving wife, mother and grandmother of Benton City went to be with her Heavenly Father on July 12, 2018 while surrounded by her loved ones.

Floy was born to Jess and Charlotte (Elliott) Greenough in Yakima, WA on December 7, 1949.

She graduated from Richland's Columbia High School with the Class of 1969.

Floy was a devout Christian and served her Lord Jesus Christ. She loved bull riding, fishing and her animals, especially her horses. She fulfilled her lifelong dream of traveling to Alaska in 2014.

Floy worked on the railroad for Burlington Northern for four years as a Carman performing maintenance, before leaving to work out in the area as the first female pipe fitter at Hanford in 1978.

She is survived by her second husband of 21 years, Phil Harper; her two children from her first marriage, Thomas Morris and Carrie Norton (Morris); as well as her six grandchildren and her three great-grandchildren; along with her two brothers and her sister.

Services were held at The First Baptist Church of Benton City on August 11, 2018.

Her family would like to express a great gratitude to those who helped aid in her care and comfort in her final days.

In lieu of flowers, it is requested donations be made in her honor to either Meals On Wheels or a reputable Animal Rescue (business cards of which were provided at the service).

You may leave a message for the family on the online Guest Book with the Prosser Funeral Home.
