SHEILA ROSE JACKSON MARTINSON, PhD ~ Class of 1969
May 14, 1951 - January 27, 2023



The following information was provided by Helen Jackson Holden ('72):

It is with the deepest regret that we share that Helen's older sister, Sheila Jackson PhD, passed away today {January 27, 2023} in Vancouver, WA after a courageous battle with cancer.

Sheila was the oldest of the Jackson children and spent her career with the U.S. Forest Service.

She never had children of her own but loved her nieces and nephews dearly.

In her retirement in Vancouver she took up watercolors and was an accomplished painter.

Sheila will be missed by her father, Charles Jackson of Vancouver, WA; her siblings: Joe Jackson ('71) of Seattle, Helen Jackson Holden ('72) of Richland, Alice Jackson ('74 HHS) of Bremerton, Tom Jackson ('76 HHS) of Richland and Paul Jackson ('81) of Kansas City, KS; by the spouses of her siblings and their children; and her many friends in the art community of Vancouver.
