JEFFREY JAMES "JEFF" LOW ~ Class of 1969
May 23, 1951 - June 15, 2002
Jeffrey James Low, age 51, a longtime resident of Othello passed away Saturday, June 15, 2002 at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle.
Jeff was born May 23, 1951 in Richland to James and Mavis (McMillen) Low. He graduated from Richland's Columbia High School with the Class of 1969. He lived in Othello for 22 years.
On October 6, 1981 Jeffrey married Maria Gutierrez in Richland, and in 1983 they moved to Othello where they started their family.
He worked for Lamb-Weston in Connell for 25 years as a machine operator/mechanic in the field department. He loved fishing, watching sports and BBQ's with his family. He also loved to work on cars. He loved to go to his dad's cabin on the Naches River for weekend fishing trips.
Jeffrey loved his children very much. He was a very loving person with lots of friends. He'll be remembered for his good sense of humor and fun personality. He will be greatly missed by friends and family.
Survivors include his loving wife, Maria of Othello; his father, James Low of Richland; two sons: Alex Low of Silverdale, WA and James Low of Othello; one daughter, Julia Low of Othello; three brothers: John Low ('73) of Seattle, Brent Low ('76) of Olympia and Brad Low ('79) of Kennewick.
His mother preceded him in death.
A memorial service was held on June 20, 2002 at the Stevens Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jose Gutierrez officiating. Inurnment took place at Bess Hampton Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements were entrusted to Stevens Funeral Chapel in Othello.
