Robert Marshall, 51, of Yakima died December 31, 2001 in his home. He was born September 25, 1950 in Tacoma, WA to Violet (Laramie) and John Marshall.

He graduated with the Class of 1969 from Richland's Columbia High School.

Bob had a Master's degree in Archeology and American History. He served for 12 years in the United States Navy as a sonar technician. He then studied electronics and computer science.

His hobbies included computers, going to the movies and being with his friends and laughing.

He loved animals and children, and was always willing to lend a hand when needed. He belonged to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the elders' quorum.

Bob was loved and will be greatly missed by his friends who consider him family: Max and Frances Mejias and family of Fresno, CA; Abel and Marcia Garcia and family of Yakima; and Patricia Davis and Betty Fosse of Yakima.

Surviving family include a brother, Tim Marshall (Connie) of Yakima; step-mother, Valerie Marshall of Tacoma; step-sisters: Chris McMasters of Tacoma, Rhonda Thomas of Connell and Debbie Thomas of Aberdeen.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Viewing was at noon on January 7, 2001 in the relief society room in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 4307 Englewood Avenue in Yakima. Funeral services followed at 1 pm. Concluding services and burial followed in the Terrace Heights Memorial Park in Yakima.

Keith & Keith Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.

NOTE: His brother, Tim, passed away on June 27, 2006.
