Rose Marie "Rosie" Valenzuela Preston, 59, of Soap Lake, WA passed away March 20, 2010 at Columbia Basin Hospital in Ephrata. Rose was born April 24, 1950 to Edmundo and Stella Valenzuela in Moxee, WA.

She graduated from Richland's Columbia High School with the Class of 1969.

Rosie married Billy Didway ('66) in San Diego on December 24, 1969. The marriage ended in divorce on January 11, 1982.

Her second marriage was to Robert K. Preston on February 13, 1982 in Anacortes, WA.

Rose is survived by her two daughters, Lavisa Corvo and Carmen Lyon; her father, Edmundo Valenzuela; two sisters, Gloria Clary and Inez Fort; brother, Tommy Valenzuela ('67); grandchildren: Ashley Corvo, Austin Corvo, Nicholas Corvo, Cody Lyon, Cache Lyon and Candice Lyon.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; and by her mother, Stella.

A Memorial Service was held at 3pm on Sunday, March 28, 2010 at the Ephrata American Legion located at 276 8th Avenue NW in Ephrata, WA.

Arrangements were handled by Nicoles Funeral Home in Ephrata, WA.
